Burning Ubuntu in SD card
The preparation work
When I googled ‘pandaboard ubuntu’ I was firstly given the item of ‘ubuntu on pandaboar’. Following the link, finally, I was led to a ‘OMAP Ubuntu’ instruction page – it tells where I should start, to download the system image, and to burn it in a SD card.
Then downloading the right version of Ubuntu for OMAP4 platform. A number of copy versions are provided in the download page, in which the right one is ‘Texas Instruments OMAP4 preinstalled netbook image’, the download file after clicking the link is named like this ‘ubuntu-11.04-preinstalled-netbook-armel+omap4.img.gz’.
After the preinstalled system image downloading, need to unzip it, using winrar or winzip or other proper unzip tools.
(To continue – burning the downloaded image in a SD card)

When you think of a SanDisk Extreme Pro CF or another form of SD card, normally your thoughts go to phones, cameras and MP3 players as that is what we most regularly use SD cards with. However this is a very limiting view of their use, and they can actually be used with a range of other devices that you might not have considered. Here we’ll look at some of the more different gadgets that can use a SanDisk Extreme Pro CF – some of which you might own (or invest in in the future) but not really of thought of, and others of which you may not be as likely to use.^
